Richard Armitage: A Star Is Born – More Suit Porn

I’ve fallen in love with his suit.  Haven’t been so smitten since getting a gander of Patrick Stewart’s suit in Hamlet.  As I type, our boy is now in Australia as a presenter at the ARIAS.  Don’t think I can hold out to report any more sightings.  My brain threatens to take me out.  But before I go, here’s another pretty, pretty picture.

Richard Armitage struts his stuff at The Hobbit premiere, NZ. Courtesy of not a clue. Please let me know.

  1. Totally in love with the suit too (not to mention the person inside it! 😉 ) He really looks like a movie star here even though he may not consider himself to be one! I’m dying to see what he is wearing in Sydney!!

  2. Suit porn! Hahaha – you kill me! Why not? There’s hand porn, glove porn, name a body part, I guess. Nice to see him get some good comments about his clothes for a change.

    • I understand quality, well made clothes. This is what RA can look like in clothes beautifully tailored for him. The suit is impeccable in style, cut, drape, break across the shoe, length at the wrist – nothing strains, bulges or gaps. I simply can’t say enough. It also screams $$$$, so it’s a good thing his fees are climbing. I’m sure if you stroked the fabric, you’d want to stroke it again. He’s impeccable from the top of his head to the tip of his wingtips. Respect to his stylist. So yeah, it’s porn. 😉

I haven’t even started on the flawless shirt and gorgeous shoes.

      • I love RA’s look! He is perfection! Especially since he has just the right amount of shirt sleeve cuff showing below his suit jacket sleeve, and not to mention his trousered legs. Sighhhhh!

P.S. Although, a seamstress friend of mind pointed out that his suit jacket cuffs looked like they had been let out 1/2 inch–because she could faintly spot the seam. Love details like that–indicating that someone got to alter RA’s clothes for him. Measuring tape anyone? Giggles! And such long long arms! SighhhhH!

      • Hmm, the suit, eh? Well, lucky for you – you can probably visit said suit at its showroom in the Zegna Boutique store @ 645 N. Michigan and admire and flirt to your heart’s content!! 😉

        • I’m almost ashamed to admit that I had to check out Zegna’s website last night just to see if I could see “his” suit there. I couldn’t find one of the same fabric but of course this was for people ordering on-line so the choices would be limited. They do have the most beautiful clothes and suits can also be made to measure. I even found out that there is a store in Downtown Vancouver! Almost tempted to go and have a look and check out their “fragrances”! 🙂 I have an idea they would NOT take kindly to having their suits stroked of course – not when even ready-made ones cost over $3,00.00 and that’s US pricing!! After seeing how beautiful one of their suits looks on Richard, I would say they are worth every penny! 😉

  3. Wing-tip shoes; tie pin; cufflinks…yes, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck redux. There must be British actors of that period who had the same elegance. (OH, of course, Grant was originally British.) Can’t think of a contemporary Hollywood star who compares. Anyone?

        • Yeah, 3 piece suits are HOT and that Bradley Cooper – he knows how to ROCK the menswear. What I like about Cooper is he does both Action and Hilarity in movies. Have you seen the movie Limitless with him and Robert de Niro?? It’s a little over-the-top, but still a fun concept movie. 🙂

          • I first saw BC in Alias and I remember thinking, this guy is going to be a star! You can’t NOT become a star with eyes like those. 🙂 And he’s a decent actor too! 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation UK Expat, I’ll check that movie out. Maybe early next year when this Hobbit madness dies down a little bit! Ha!

            • Dang it!!!
Cooper has the same inititals as Cumberbatch!! Maybe we need to start adding in the middle initial to differentiate these guys. 🙂

Most of my movie viewings are limited to what’s on offer during British Airways flights between the UK and US (this is where I originally watched Limitless) but I remember being SURPRISED by its concept and style. Of course, it did go a little over the top at times (I had to fastforward through some violence) – but I can still recommend it. 🙂

Cooper’s also in a newly released David O’Russell film called ‘Silver Linings Playbook’. He’s quoted as saying he didn’t ever think he’d be in a league to be considered for a DO’R film – so it must be a really nice time for him. 😉

  4. UK Expat,I’m afraid I haven’t seen The Artist! Yes Cumberbatch&Cooper have the same initials but as far as I remember, Cumerbatch was not in Alias!:-) (which is not my cup of tea, only watched it because of Michael Vartan whom I had a little crush on at the time!:-))

      • Hahahaha that’s very good! ROFL! Thanks! I’ll drop my clutch bag! Then I’ll knock him over! Shame I’m not as pretty as the lady in the film.:( Ha! I’m going to have to check this movie out. I’m already familiar with the some of the score because I watch figure skating and a number of skaters picked this music for their programs this year. Very good skating music. Great rhythm and humour! 🙂
