I can’t knit, either, and I’ve stayed in the Palmer House twice for conferences and love it. Hope you’re enjoying the lobby. The restaurant isn’t bad either.
The lobby was a bit chilly but full of people sitting around taking pics of the ceiling. You’d think we were in the Sistine Chapel. π
Hee hee – just the thought of you at a knitting trade show gives me the giggles. π Hope Elsa’s enjoying herself! Hope you’re keeping yourself entertained!
Elsa was in her element but sadly was constrained by the amount of stuff she can take on the train. We’re both under the weather, keeping the tradition of being sick every time we get together.
Lordy – glad I’m not there. I’d be all bubbly and you two would plot (once again) to kill me. π
Get better, both of you! And have fun!
Despite numerous attempts by Mom to teach me how, I can’t purl a single stitch. π Enjoy the view!
My mom tried to teach me to crochet. Elsa tried to teach knitting. My brain simply refuses to store the information. I’ll stick to writing and drawing. π
My oldest can crochet but me? Hopeless. Glad to see you, though, and that ceiling is amazing!
Oh yes, the hotel is beautiful.
I knittted little jackets when I was pregnant. At work. Seemed the right thing to do. Knitted a large teal-coloured jacket to fit an older kiddie. Dropped stitches all over, tied knts in back. A few holes in product… Made son wear it till he grew into it. Child abuse? (It isn’t that bad, actually. Just not great.) I think hand crafts are not quite where my small talents? lie. But I love knit products (son had some beautiful knitted gifts from lovely talented friends, thank goodness) And I am in awe of medieval tapestries..
Sticking to drawing and water-colouring. Kid fully grown. No need of woolly covering. He survived. Besides, he’s vegetrarian (I like poultry, sorry) and major (not PETA) animal and environmentalist. Obviously, I went wrong somewhere. The knitting? Or making him wear the “product”? π
Clearly making him wear the product. π
Take care of your health, judiang, and get better quickly from this bug – the change of season under-the-weather thing.
Yeah, the weather changes have been crazy. Bring on the snow and Christmas! π
I’ve heard it snowed a bit in North London this weekend. Weather temps dropped rather precipitously on Friday night. I also hear another “Storm-pocalypse” is headed for NYC. Hmm…
The lobby is definitely the best part of the Palmer House!!
To hell with knitting,Judiang! π Just write,please!
