Internet Woes

As I sit leeching free wi-fi at a not-late-hours cafe, my internet is down at home.  It will remain that way until experts come out to service it next Friday.  As soon as that happens, yours truly will return with regularly scheduled programming.

Meanwhile, I’ll weather internet withdrawal.  *Sniff* *Shiver*

  1. Oh no!  No fitzg on Monday, no continuation of the fanfic series, no judi in chat.  We’ll take really good care of the place for you, we promise!

      • A peach melba for the Pom! (button your lip, Winston.) Fingers crossed for HP co-operation continuing.

  2. My internet was off for 2 hours yesterday and considering I’m sick and on the couch, it was awful! Plus side was the amount of real writing I actually got done.

I know writers who go into purdah to write their novels… the wifi gets switched off for up to 3 months! Stephen Fry actually shut out the world, no real or virtual contact, and was able to hand a fully edited, ready to roll manuscript to his publishers at the end of that time. Amazing! At the very least, I’d have to go for walks with dogs… and what if i ran out of mascara or lippy!

    • So Fry breaks the internet habit cold turkey for days?  That’s what I must do if I need to be without it!  LOL!   I’m much to reliant on it.  As soon as I lost connection I couldn’t think of a single thing to do without it, which was ridiculous.  It was simply the very idea of not having it that threw me.

  3. OMG!!!!!!! Next Friday???????? How the hell can anyone go that long without Internet and not be on a cruise or doing something nifty like traveling abroad? Does not computer!

  4. I hope your internet is fixed before then!!! It’s amazing how much we rely on the internet and then when it’s down we’re at a loss. Whenever mine goes out, I just don’t know what to do. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

      • Ooh Judiang!
Good luck with your ISP.  I can’t imagine being without mine for  week.  The two days it took for the geek squad to rid my laptop of viruses last summer was worse than quitting ciagarettes 25 years ago.  Ha!
Fingers crossed for you.  Cheers!  Grati  ;->
